- IL Cho was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. After he earned a BFA in Visual Communication from Kyung-hee University in Seoul, South Korea. He then attended Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, earning a BA in Film and Media Art. While there, he won the 2008 Diamond Film Festival, worked on a Feature Documentary about the blues band "Heavy Hand," and numerous other projects as a videographer, camera operator, and still photographer. He is also completing his 2nd Year at the American Film Institute Conservatory as a Directing Fellow, where he is focusing on honing his sharp visual instinct to tell a distinguished narrative. He is currently the director of the AFI thesis film that associates with Three Five Bravo Production "Jin," about the harsh life of young man in the Korea-Town area of Los Angeles.
